Volunteer

Sunset Hills Lego Club is a volunteer-run educational club.  The number of students we can accept into the club is dependent on the number of dedicated volunteers we have.  The quality of our program depends on volunteers like you!  

All volunteers must comply with school volunteer requirements.  Thank you for your consideration, time and commitment. 

Volunteer Opportunities:

FIRST Lego League Explore Program Co-Chair

• Oversee the planning and execution of the Fall FLL Explore program, ensuring that it aligns with First Lego League (FLL) and Sunset Hills Lego Club guidelines and educational objectives.

• Coordinate schedules for team meetings and events.

• Track program progress, making sure teams meet deadlines and milestones.

• Recruit and onboard volunteer coaches, providing them with the resources and training needed to guide students through the program.

• Act as a point of contact for coaches, answering questions and addressing any challenges they may face.

• Facilitate communication between coaches, teams, parents, and event organizers. 

• Help foster a fun, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all participants.

• Encourage creativity and innovation as teams build and test their LEGO models, ensuring that each child has a hands-on learning experience.

• Promote the FLL Explore program within the community to attract new participants and volunteers.

• Maintain communication with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about the program’s progress, key dates, and event details.

Lego Challenge Co-Chair

• Oversee the planning and execution of the Spring Lego Challenge program, ensuring that it aligns with Sunset Hills Lego Club guidelines and educational objectives.

• Coordinate schedules for team meetings.

• Recruit and onboard general volunteers.

• Help foster a fun, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all participants.

• Maintain communication with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about the program’s progress, key dates.

FIRST Lego League Explore Team Coach/Assistant

• ​Supports Lego League Program Co-Chair and students through program.

• Support the learning process, while allowing team members to do their own work and make critical decisions through the building and poster development processes

• Support assigned Lego League team(s) at Westview High School Lego League Expo. 

General Volunteer

General volunteers are needed to help on a day-to-day basis, to help guide students during the Spring Lego Challenge, at the Westview Expo, or even to help organize or clean Lego.
