Registration for the Fall/Winter 2022-2023 FLL Explore Program is OPEN!

In SUPERPOWERED FIRST® LEGO® League students will explore where energy comes from and how it is distributed, stored, and used – and then put their superpowered creativity to work to innovate for a better energy future.

Students will be placed in teams of 4, favoring students of similar age/grade. Each team will participate in the activities in the engineering notebook, which include instructions for Lego builds and coding of the WeDo robotics set. Near the end of the season, students will work on their final project designs for presentation at the Westview High School Lego League Expo.
​
The program is for students 2nd grade and up and is held on campus on Mondays 3:15pm-4:30pm starting October 3rd. ESS students may join. Coordination will be provided between Lego Club and ESS for handoffs/pickups. Scholarships available to those in financial need. Please contact us.

This is an educational program and students are required to be engaged during the program time. Students are expected to be committed to attending all sessions for the whole time period, including the Expo at Westview High School. COVID Safety Protocols

1. Cohort Team with stable 4-Sunset Hills student team with 1 permanent coach*
​
2. Designated Team Lego bin and WeDo 2.0 set
​
3. All students and coaches to comply with school covid rules, such as use of face mask and indoor/outdoor setting. Hand sanitizer will be used before and after snack time.
​
4. Participants to follow Sunset Hills' self-screening, quarantining, and reporting procedures, as applicable. Participants will be sent home for signs/symptoms of illness.
​
5. Sessions may be rescheduled to support Covid-19 safety and school opening/closing.
​
6. All volunteers, coaches and substitute coaches must comply with school volunteer requirements, including those associated with COVID-19.
